Middle School Camp FAQs:
Q: Where will Transit be going?
A: Wake Forest University
Q: When is MSC?
A: June 18 – 22
Q: How much does MSC cost?
A: $375
Q: Who will be driving?
A: Our Small Group Leaders and coaches (transportation will be very similar to how we did it for Frequency Camp)
Q: Where will my student be sleeping?
A: In the Wake Forest Dorms in close proximity to their Transit friends and leaders 🙂
Q: Tell me a little more about who is putting on this camp and what it will be like
A: Generate camp (the camp that will be hosting our camp) is a nationwide camp with over 20,000 attendees each year at their 19 camps that happen all over the place (in other words, these people know what they’re doing). Generate camp has been going on for years and years.. your student is going to have a blast! On Monday, we will arrive, settle in, have dinner, and a session. Tuesday and Wednesday, we will spend a large part of our day (outside of meals and sessions) hanging out/competing/playin/etc as Small Groups. On Thursday, during free time, we will do a service project for the community, and on friday we will head back!
Q: Should my student go? They’re still undecided.
A: Uhhhh… YES! I can’t tell you how many times a parent tells me that their student “isn’t sure about going” to Walking Wisely, Transit, a camp, etc and then they go and have an absolute BLAST! This age group often doesn’t decide to have fun/fully engage until they can see exactly what it is that their doing.
